Katherine Jane Wentz Williams 

June 3, 1970 - November 6, 2008

It is with a heavy heart that we share the news that Katy Williams, the original coordinator of The Friendship Closet, passed away after a brief and sudden illness in November 2008. We miss our dear friend Katy very much! 

Katy grew up in Lilburn, Georgia and attended Auburn University where she was President of ZTA Sorority.  Katy and her husband, Tim, lived in Apex where she was very active in the community and church.  Katy was a co-owner of Upscale Resale.  She was a loving mother to two little girls, Ashley and Shannon. Katy sang joyfully in the Praise Band at Apex UMC.  Her creativity, passion and skills impressed those who knew her.

Katy had a confident can-do attitude and a kind, friendly way with people.  She touched many lives in her brief 38 years and we miss her deeply.  Please keep Katy's family and friends in your prayers.
